The Ya-Du Poetry Writing Project
explores a five-line Burmese poetic form. Ya-Du poetry
uses a climbing rhyming and irregular syllabic structure.
Unusual and rarely seen in the west, the unique form of this
poetry presents a special challenge to poets, though the poetry
that results is often beautiful and graceful.
All members and authors are invited
to participate in this Writing Project. If you think you
would like to take part, please click on the "Participate" link
in the banner above, where you will find the rules related to
this Writing Project, links to information about ya-du poetry
to help you understand this poetic form, and the submission form
you are required to use when submitting your ya-du to The
Authors Haunt.
