The Masnavi Poetry Writing Project explores a Persian poetic form called the Masnavi.  These poems are deceptively simple to write, consisting of an unspecified and unlimited number of rhyming couplets with no fixed rules regarding syllabic structure or theme.  However, simple rules do not always result in graceful poetry, so the challenge here is to create a poem that is both simple and elegant.

All members and authors are invited to participate in this Writing Project.  If you think you would like to take part, please click on the "Participate" link in the banner above, where you will find the rules related to this Writing Project, links to information about masnavi poetry to help you understand this poetic form, and the submission form you are required to use when submitting your masnavi to The Authors Haunt.
