The Luc Bat Poetry Writing Project explores a traditional form of Vietnamese poetry. The name literally translates as "six eight", referring to the number of syllables in alternating lines of the poem. Luc bat uses an unusual rhyming scheme, with the sixth syllable of an eight syllable line rhyming with the last syllable of the preceding six syllable line, and the last syllable of the eight syllable line rhyming with both te last syllable of the next line and the sixth syllable of the line thereafter.
All members and authors are invited to participate in this Writing Project.
